I was told at my dx, that my family was a Li Fraumini Like family, due to the fact my sisters tumor was negative for the p53 mutation. This confuses me a little. My brother died of Ewings Sarcoma at 22 yrs old, my mother was dx 9 yrs before him at 41 yrs old with advanced Breast cancer. My mother survived 22 yrs, allowing her to raise all 8 of us kids, but lost her life to lung cancer. A year after her death my baby sister was dx with a large uterine fibroid, that was dx at surgery as uterine leiomyosarcoma. She was only 26yrs, it was very aggressive and took her life only 1 1/2 yrs. after dx. I was dx 3months before her passing with 4 primary breast tumors, all Her2 positive. This is when I was told we were a LiFraumini Like family. My other siblings did not have children, so naturally I am concerned about being in this group. Any in site or comments, I would gladly appreciate. It is also, nice to be able to see a site like this.
