The 7th International LFS Association Symposium delivered a powerful global collaboration intended to provide the best of care and hope to all of those with LFS and their families. In his talk on advancements in care, Michael J. Hall, MD, MS, FASCO, acknowledged how isolating it may be individuals receiving a diagnosis for LFS and the importance of being sensitive to the challenges of patients in receiving care.
“Li-Fraumeni syndrome doesn’t discriminate based on what country you were born in or your socioeconomic status. We need to make sure that we are thinking about trying to make the interventions and things that we’re doing reachable for all populations.”
