Dr. Pierre Hainaut was a pioneering scientist whose groundbreaking work on TP53 and Li‑Fraumeni syndrome (LFS) transformed our understanding of inherited and spontaneous cancers. Beyond his scientific brilliance, Pierre was admired for his kindness, generosity, and passion for life. His influence touched colleagues, patients, and families across the globe.
To honor his legacy, we are establishing the Pierre Hainaut Lectureship, an endowed lectureship presented at both the LFSA Symposium and the TP53 meeting. This fund will support annual lectures by distinguished scientists, covering travel, lodging, and related costs. The lectureship will ensure that Pierre’s dedication to advancing science and collaboration continues to inspire generations to come.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $25,000 to create a permanent endowment. With your support, each year both meetings will feature The Pierre Hainaut Lecture, sustaining his vision and impact in the field.
This initiative was launched by Arnold Levine, PhD, in recognition of Dr. Hainaut’s extraordinary contributions.
Your donation will honor Pierre’s memory and advance the work he dedicated his life to—improving understanding, treatment, and hope for those impacted by cancer.
