Through the tremendous generosity of the Lesko and Fleming families, a newly established annual grant program will provide support for two youth personally impacted by Li-Fraumeni syndrome. Honoring the meaningful life and enduring memory of Cody Lesko, the empowerment grants will support adolescents and young adults to offset costs of enriching wellness, mental health or education programs and opportunities to enhance joy in their lives.
In the kind, fun-loving and courageous spirit that Cody lived, Lesko-Fleming Empowerment Grants are intended to alleviate and ease burdens for youth managing the reality of life with LFS. Grant funds awarded will enable experiences, programs or tools that provide relief, joy or fulfillment along their personal LFS journeys.
Opening grant applications later this spring, the Li-Fraumeni Syndrome Association welcomes youth between the ages of 13-26 to apply. In addition to grant funds awarded, recipients will be provided a special gift and travel stipend for a designated LFSA event.
Each of the two 2026 grant recipients will be provided a stipend to attend the 8th International LFS Association Symposium at MD Anderson in Houston, TX, October 2-5.
